Right from the start Regal Engineering set out to build
the “Bulldog of Bench Vises”…and they did!

For over 23 years now, the Regal name has become known throughout the fly tying community as the source for the best tying vises on the planet.

The object was to build a vise with superior hook-holding power, as few moving parts as possible, and design it with the fly tier in mind. Once these three basic requirements were fulfilled they knew they had something special.

As a matter of fact, the basic design was special enough to obtain a U.S. patent. More importantly, the design was accepted by fly tiers worldwide as a valuable tool that has become a staple in their fly tying endeavors. Regal vises are incredibly popular with commercial/production fly tyers!

Although the jaw mechanism is carefully engineered to open easily, once they are closed you will find that no other vise even comes close to their holding power.

The basic idea behind a Regal vise is that of a self-adjusting clamp. This self-adjusting feature means easier and faster hook placement within the jaws. A comfortable grip easily opens the jaws and releasing the grip closes them on the hook.

It’s that easy. No further adjustments are needed to start tying

Regal Fly Tying Kit Bag

Quality constructed and well designed. A great kit bag to bring to

fishing camp or on your fly fishing vacation.

The Kit Bag measures 17W x 11D x 10.5H. Included with the bag are two accessory items, the vise portfolio and the tool wrap (pictured below). Bag features a waterproof bottom for storage in your drift boat or placement on damp surfaces. All four corners unzip to allow each side panel to fold flat to the tying surface providing easy access to supplies. The sides are connected with zippered storage pockets to hold dubbing, chenille, hair or bagged feathers. It has enough thread storage on the top of each end to cover colors and sizes needed while traveling. The cover has a large zippered pocket to hold hackle capes while the front panel has storage for long feathers such as pheasant tails, goose quills or turkey feathers.

New for 2010...The Regal Fly Tyers Work Table

This desk is displayed and used at the store!

Starting with a urethane finished thermoformed table, and a frame made of black lacquered solid wood, this table provides the tyer with a durable surface and a handsome piece of furniture that will look great anywhere.

Designed by fly-tyers, the tabletop is one of the largest available. Incorporated into this are six trays, three on each side for storage or for staging hooks, beads, etc.

The table can be ordered in two configurations. The first (Basic) being a standard work surface for the tyer utilizing a pedestal base vise. The second (Plus) option provides a solid brass collar, interchangeable for either right or left hand configuration.
