Store and Company Policies
Store Purchases Store purchases can be made in person, over the phone, via email, and online when applicable. Cash, Checks, Credit Cards (Visa, MC, Discover), and online payments via Pay-Pal are accepted as payment for goods and services unless otherwise specified. Store gift cards are accepted as payment for store merchandise and in-store services only. Gift cards are not accepted for guide, and trip fees. Returned Checks will be charged a fee of $30.00 per occurrence. Full payment is appreciated when ordering in person and on phone orders. Special orders are non-returnable unless defective. Defective merchandise falls under manufacturers warranties and should be returned to the manufacturer when applicable.
Return Policy Returns are accepted up to 15 calendar days of purchase, Christmas (November & December months) season returns are accepted up to 30 calendar days of purchase. All qualified returns must be accompanied by the original sales receipt and must be in new and sellable condition. Items that do no meet this criteria will not be accepted for return. Customers granted store approved returns may receive store credit for future purchases or merchandise exchange. There are no cash or credit refunds. All sales are final on Sale Merchandise, no returns or refunds. All prices are subject to change without notice.
Product Warranty Fees All product warranties may be subject to store and manufacturer warranty fees and/or shipping and handling charges. Customers will be charged appropriate fees. All fees must be paid in full at the time of warranty return. The Evening Rise will offer assistance with all client warranty returns. All new fly rods sold at the store have some type of limited, lifetime or 25 year warranty. This warranty does not include the manufacturers or the shops shipping and handling fees.
Equipment Trade In Many clients have inquired on rod and reel trade-in policy. We do not take trade ins on any type of equipment. For those looking to upgrade on equipment, please inquire about our *Upgrade Program. We will take your unwanted fly gear and sell if for you. We do all the leg work, clean and polish your equipment and sell it in our store or E-Bay store. The money is then used to buy new equipment at the shop. * Upgrade Program is subject to E-Bay, Pay-Pal and Program Fees.
Purchase Incentive Restrictions: Any incentive will be forfeited if merchandise is returned for exchange or credit. This includes Free UPS Shipping, Free Gift Card and Merchandise Incentives. Customer will be charged for UPS shipping and handling charges, total gift card amount and a $5.00 handling charge. Gift Cards cannot be used toward original outfit sale. It can be used on any different sale of merchandise or services.
Shipping and Handling of Phone and Online Orders We are happy to ship your orders to your home or office at your convenience. We generally use UPS Ground services for everyday shipments. At client request we can ship "Priority" and rush your shipment so you may receive your package by a specified time. Minimum Order: $15.00
UPS Ground Shipments Orders > $175: Free UPS Ground; Orders < $175: $8.95/Package (Above prices apply to standard weight packages. Additional charges may apply to UPS Oversize 1 and 2 packages. We will notify you before shipment. UPS Ground Shipping Charges will apply on all cane rod purchases.
*UPS Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, 3 Day Air are also available. If you would like this service please call and request with your order. We will quote you a price for shipment.
*USPS Priority Mail is also available to clients who cannot receive UPS Shipments. Please request this service if needed when ordering.
International Shipments We currently use USPS Priority Mail Insured and Global Express Mail Insured shipping to Canada, Europe, South America and other foreign addresses. We accept MasterCard, Visa and PayPal for all foreign orders. PayPal is the most convenient and secure method of payment. Clients may use PayPal to pay with a MasterCard or Visa account. Clients who have a PayPal account may choose to debit their account to pay for their purchases. International Shipping Charges will be billed to the PayPal Customer after the purchase. The customer will be given a choice of shipping and actual cost of shipment. Shipping charges must be paid prior to shipment.
E-Bay Sales E-Bay sales are final. There are no returns or exchanges at any time. The Evening Rise reserves the right to cancel any auction or sale if it is found that the merchandise being sold is defective or not described properly. If deemed necessary clients will be notified and the auction or sale will be cancelled and payment refunded.
Store Classes and Schools All classes and schools must be paid in full in advance to reserve a space. Reservations are first come, first serve. Once a reservation is made, deposits and payments are non-refundable. Students are responsible for attending all classes and school dates. Students who miss class will be contacted and an attempt will be made to place the student in another class or schedule a personal class, if available. This is not guaranteed and does not release students from their responsibility. Additional fees may apply. Instructors have the right to cancel class for unforeseen circumstances and classes will be re-scheduled.
Shop Trips and Travel Shop sponsored trips and destination travel are subject to certain restrictions due to limited space and the nature of the travel business. Firm reservations are made with a 50% non-refundable deposit with the balance due 90 days prior to departure date (unless otherwise specified). Trip cancellations will only be accepted up to 90 days prior to departure date (unless otherwise specified). Cancellations prior to 90 days of departure date are subject to a $50.00 service fee which will deducted from refund. Cancellations between 90 days and departure date are non-refundable unless a replacement is found. The Client is ultimately responsible for finding a replacement for the trip. The trip manager will make every attempt necessary in finding a replacement, but will not be held responsible if unable to fill the space. The Evening Rise has the right to cancel any trip for any unforeseeable reason and also has the right to appoint a replacement host if deemed necessary. In some cases The Evening Rise acts solely as a booking agent for a particular lodge or travel company. Clients are subject to all policies of the these companies. The policies of shop trips and destination travel vary depending on destination. Long distance trips usually require payment sooner than PA trips. All trip reservations and cancellation policies will follow similar guidelines with variations in specifics concerning dates of full payment and cancellation deadlines. Specific policies will be listed with each trip. Weather is an interesting thing that we get questions about all the time concerning trips. Climate is what you expect and weather is what you get. Clients should be prepared to fish in most types of weather (excluding hurricanes!) Make sure you are prepared to fish in the rain. Bring proper rain gear and warm clothing. Trips will go on rain or shine!
Guide Services Guide Trips require a 50% Deposit at time of reservation. This is a non-refundable reservation that can be rescheduled with 48 hours notice. This policy excludes destination trips and fishing camps. Guide has the right to cancel any trip for any unforeseen reason and will reschedule with client at the first opportunity. All prices are subject to change without notice. Guide Trips are held rain or shine; please make sure you dress appropriately. Please be aware that when you book a guide trip date, this date is reserved for you only. All other reservations for that date are declined. Your deposit for your reserved date is non-refundable unless rescheduled as stated above. Payment for guide services: We accept cash, personal checks, MC and Visa credit cards. We do not accept store gift cards for payment for guide services.
