Basic Fly Tying Classes 2009

INTRODUCTION TO BASIC FLY TYING #1

INTRODUCTION TO BASIC FLY TYING #2

GETTING STARTED

Class Instructor: Steve Silverio

Regal Professional Fly Tier

These classes are for new and novice students who are tying flies for the first time and or need help with the basics. Students will learn the sound fundamentals of tying your own fishing flies.  Basics techniques in tying wet flies, nymphs, streamers and dry flies will be covered. This is a serious "hands on" class and not a show and tell affair. Men, Women and Children (ages 10 and above) are welcome to attend. Class size will be kept to a minimum to ensure plenty of one-on-one instruction. Students who wish to register must do so by pre-paying the class fee at time of registration. This will ensure your seat in class.  Our main objective is to have plenty of fun and at the same time, learn essential skills in fly tying. Students will enjoy our class instructor Steve Silverio. Steve's humor and magic at the vise will keep your attention for the entire class. Due to the curriculum of our Basic Fly Tying Class we have split our basic course into two courses. The first course "Introduction to Basic Fly Tying #1" will start students off with the basics ( Proper use of tying tools, tying techniques, material selection, tying simple fly patterns). The second class "Basic Fly Tying #2" will continue with more advanced beginner fly patterns such as dry flies, nymphs, and streamers. We recommend students take both courses. Students that had our basic #1 course last year are ready to take the #2 course.

Maximum class size is 6 students.

Class Fee: $150.00 per Student
