Intermediate/Advanced

Fly Tying Classes

CLASSIC DRY FLIES

CLASSIC NYMPHS AND EMERGERS

with George McGinnis

"The Evening Rise" Professional Fly Tier

  Here is a rare chance to learn from one of the best fly tiers in the east. George McGinnis has been tying flies for the shop for the last 20 years and he ties some of the most beautiful and durable flies we have ever seen. George is a naturally gifted fly tier who ties extremely neat and precise flies. His fly tying proportions and techniques are clean and innovative. For 2009 we are offering two classes with George. The two classes will be dedicated to Classic and Contemporary Dry Fly, Nymphs and Emergers. The interesting thing about these classes will be learning the life cycle and how to tie for different hatches. Learning George's tying techniques will help students become more proficient in tying their favorite patterns. Learn to tie flies neatly and with more efficiency. Learn the techniques that the pro tiers use! Classes will a be a full day and held on Saturday. George will also give the option of tying and teaching patterns at student's request. If you have a special technique or pattern you would like to learn, please let us know in advance of the class.

NOTE: Seating in this class is limited. Please reserve early! Maximum

class size is 6-8 students.
