Nick DelleDonne's Signature Fly Patterns Since 1973, I have been involved in Fly Fishing and Fly Tying and I continue to enjoy every minute. I must admit that I have met many nice people that have inspired me to continue my interest in the sport and I will always be thankful to those who have passed on their knowledge and enthusiasm to me. Sharing knowledge and passion is what it's all about. Since my beginning in the art of fly tying, I have had many inspirations. Early mentors like Joe Brooks, Dave Whitlock, Lefty Kreh just to name a few, lit my fire for fly tying and trying to develop new patterns. As I developed as a fly tier I am thankful for many people who helped me along the way. I am thankful for the opportunity to take classes with some of the finest tiers in the country. Guys like Billy Munn, Bill Hunter and Del Mazza; masters at their craft, helped me develop. I will never forget the valuable skills that where taught to me. Fly tying is an art form. And like many art forms, each artist has his or her own interpretation. This is the essence of fly tying. Developing your own interpretation of what a fish will eat. As most fly tiers realize, there are very few totally new concepts in fly tying. Each fly tier borrows ideas from other tiers and develops his or hers own interpretation. What I would like to do, is share some of my fly designs that I have fished and developed over the years. Being involved in the business has given me the opportunity to refine my skills and develop my knowledge as a fly angler and fly dresser. As a dedicated Fly Fisherman, Fly Tying has brought me full circle. Back to my roots as a passionate angler. I would love to hear from you. If you have questions or suggestions please feel free to email me at nick@theeveningrise.com. This is one of my new patterns that I think you will enjoy tying.

This pattern can be tied in many color schemes to match any baitfish color and profile. The new palmer chenille is a wonderful newer material that is available in 2 different lengths. As you can see it does a nice job imitating a full bodied baitfish!
